National Action Day

  • On a cold and wet Saturday morning, members from B&H and AwH Branches were out leafleting a new estate off Milestone Way in the Chasetown ward of Burntwood. Afterwards, we adjourned to the Station Café for a welcome hot drink!
  • With regards to the National Campaign Day on Saturday 25th November, where we will be making contact with the residents in the new estate off Milestone Way, the subject of the campaign day will be Labours response to the Budget and we will have leaflets to post to addresses on the estate. We will gather at the entrance to the estate at the roundabout, junction with Cannel Rd at 10.30am. Cannel Rd and the roads off there are the industrial estate so there is plenty of on-road parking – or you might prefer parking at Morrison’s and a short walk down. We could then make our way to the station café afterwards to warm ourselves up and have a hot drink if people are interested.

In Lichfield, we will be delivering leaflets in Stowe ward in advance of a City Council by-election which will be on 14th December and where we hope to increase Labour representation by 100% (from one member to two!). Beth as City Branch Secretary and Dave as Chair will be able to let members who are able to help have details of where to meet etc.
….and, of course, there will be more leaflets to deliver and doors to knock late November/early December. Any offers of help would be very welcome – especially on 14th to Get Out The Vote (GOTV).
