Curborough’s Labour Councillors start as they mean to go on.

Recently elected Labour District Councillors Colin Ball and Dave Robertson are holding their first joint Advice Surgery on 17th May at the Jigsaw Community Hub, 72 Dimbles Lane, Lichfield WS13 7HL. This will run from 7.00-8.00 p.m. and be an opportunity for local Curborough residents to meet their Councillors and raise any concerns that they have. Councillor Ball started these Advice Surgeries last August, after he was elected to Lichfield City and District Council. They have proved to be a great success and both Councillors have said that they will continue with these in the third Friday of every month, as well as carrying out regular Street Surgeries and putting out regular Newsletters.

Councillor Ball said: “I’m pleased with the way that the monthly Advice Surgeries and regular Street Surgeries have gone. They are a great opportunity to meet and listen to local residents, so that we can try to help them with any issues that they have. I’m also sure that this is one of the reasons that I have been re-elected, because, unlike the other political parties locally, Labour Councillors are regularly available to local residents.”

Newly elected District Councillor Robertson added: “I’ve enjoyed supporting Colin at the monthly Advice Surgeries at Jigsaw over the past nine months or so. So, I’m really looking forward now to working alongside Colin, as a local District and City Councillor, to hear from local people and do what I can to help them. I will be working hard to make sure that I repay the trust that Curborough residents have placed in me by voting for me.”
