I am pleased to be standing as your Labour Candidate in the Boley Park ward of Lichfield in the City and District council elections on the 2nd May 2019. I have lived in Lichfield for 34 years. My grown-up children both went to school in Lichfield and as a proud single parent, I have seen both graduate from university. I have recently become a grandmother for the second time, so I know how hard it is for young couples & families to find affordable homes to bring up their children in Lichfield. We need more than ever, affordable, social housing – not expensive four-bedroomed homes that developers prefer.
I have worked in Health-Care for 20 years and pre-school education while my children were at school.
I want to help all of Lichfield’s residents to thrive in our lovely City. The Tories have cut vital services which are essential to ensuring the most vulnerable in our community. They need safe and secure lives. Why are so many working families relying on Food-Banks in this 21st century? Hard working families have enough on their plates, earning enough to feed, clothe and house their families.
By listening to all the residents, we will see the changes that we need to for our city. That is why I’ll make listening to you a priority as your councillor.
